WILLOW l ENCAUSTIC l ACRYLIC l MASKS
Throughout the 70′s and 80′s I created hand spun, hand woven wool WALL TAPESTRIES in organic flowing patterns with a landscape feel. My first uses of reeds and willows can be seen in the later pieces as I began to replace wooden and acrylic rods with willow. Soon the process would reverse itself with the weaving holding the willow together in dramatic wall banners and shields. Silicone Valley was in it’s infancy then and my tapestries were commissioned for the lobbies of many up and coming new firms, including Apple, Genetech and Hewlett Packard to name a few.
